Everybody knows the Sforza Castle, located in the very heart of Milan, few people know that inside its museums is preserved the last sculpture by Michelangelo.
Michelangelo never came to Milano and never worked for the Sforza but in the 1930s we had the chance to buy the Pietà Rondanini. This is the last, unfinished, work by the Tuscan master before he died.
Now the sculpture is preserved in a beautiful special room of the museums, designed by the famous architect Michele De Lucchi. This new set up has been specificcally designed to preserve and better showcase this sculpture and was opened to the public for the Expo in 2015.
